Natural England and JNCC share draft Ecological Network Guidance with Finding Sanctuary

Finding Sanctuary welcomes the release of the draft Ecological Network Guidance to the Finding Sanctuary Steering Group and the other regional MCZ Project stakeholder groups.

Natural England and the Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC) are sharing this draft document now to request feedback in order to ensure that the final version is as clear and understandable as possible when published in June 2010.

The guidance is Natural England’s and the JNCC’s statutory advice on what is required to meet the Government’s UK Marine Protected Area network design principles, and the objectives for the selection of individual Marine Conservation Zones. It will allow Finding Sanctuary to make good progress in the coming months in the early design proposals.
