These sites have been chosen to provide complete protection, with no exploitative or damaging activities permitted at all. They are distributed around the region with some located right on the shoreline with access for snorkellers, while others have been sited to provide particular protection further offshore.
More divers and snorkellers will be heading for sites in the South West where they will be able to watch and photograph a vibrant and diverse range of animals and plants.
Thousands of visitors will be coming to the shore sites to forage and explore seashore sites which are alive with crabs, molluscs and anemones.
